Thanksgiving 2022
As we reflect back on 2022 we can’t help but have a spirit of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for the many blessings you have, for the lessons you have learned, remembering those that are no longer with us, and to celebrate the simple things like family, special relationships, friendships, health and happiness.
I couldn’t help but remember the first Thanksgiving when the Pilgrims and Indians gathered at Plymouth for a feast. They were thankful even after having such a harsh winter and loosing many people. I read earlier that an ear of corn was placed by each place setting to remind them how God had provided for them in both good and bad times.
Research shows that reflecting regularly on all you are thankful for will boost your emotional well-being. Having an attitude of gratitude changes your outlook on life. Saying thank you can be habit forming. It also reduces stress. Count your blessings often!
Until next time,
Diane
